BRIGHTON BOY failed to make an impact at Goodwood last time out but was progressive beforehand and could get back on track. The form of TEEJ A’s victory at Chester in May reads good form, though, and she has to be feared most. She is taking a significant ease in grade, too.

Kevin Ryan’s APIARIST has performed with credit in each of his last four starts and subsequently finished a very solid fourth of 16 over C&D. That was a higher-grade contest and he is eligible to compete off the same mark in this race. He’s a major player.

AZURE BLUE found the Nunthorpe too much for her last time out, but she was a Group 2 winner over C&D last season, and it’s difficult to knock her consistency and strike rate. She earns the vote ahead of TWILIGHT CALLS, who is capable of smart form when at his best.

16.35 Hanson Springs Handicap
DANCE AND ROMANCE is an improving filly and caught the eye with a close-up third in a much hotter race at Goodwood last time out. She must be respected. Of the others, HUDDLE CUP could have a part to play in the outcome, having made the frame in his last three starts.
