SUBSEQUENT has won three of his last four starts, and a 4lb rise for his latest victory shouldn’t be enough to prevent another bold effort under Oisin Murphy. EAST INDIA ROCK, who will be partnered by Ryan Moore, and recent York fourth QUANTUM LEAP must be respected.

Tips: Subsequent, East India Rock, Quantum Leap

14.25 Betfred Flying Scotsman Stakes (Listed)

JONQUIL made an impressive winning debut at Sandown and could turn out to be pretty smart, so he’s a definite contender. Coventry Stakes sixth, SYMBOL OF HONOUR, is eased in grade and should be in contention, with C&D winner GOD OF WAR another to mention.

Tips: Jonquil, Symbol Of Honour, God Of War

15.00 Carlsberg Danish Pilsner Flying Childers Stakes (Group 2)

MAGNUM FORCE would have won at York last time out with a clear run and being a touch closer to the pace. He’s improving at a rate of knots and could gain compensation for his top-class Irish team. Windsor Castle Stakes winner AIN’T NOBODY should bounce back to form over this trip, having failed to stay six furlongs last time out.

Tips: Magnum Force, Ain’t Nobody

15.35 Betfred Howard Wright Doncaster Cup Stakes (Group 2) (British Champions Series)

Last year’s winner TRUESHAN isn’t getting any younger, but he’s still capable of top-quality form, isn’t as ground-dependent as he was, and will make a bold bid to defend his crown. Of the others, I’ll add GREGORY to the ticket. He’s a strong stayer and is another who won’t go down without a fight.

Tips: Trueshan, Gregory

16.10 British Stallion Studs EBF Premier Fillies’ Handicap

BEATRICE SHILLING went close at Newbury in a similar contest on her penultimate start and should be competitive. C&D winner CABRERA shaped well when runner-up on her handicap debut at Newmarket last time out and is feared most ahead of recent York second, BINT AL DAAR.

Tips: Beatrice Shilling, Cabrera, Bint Al Daar

16.45 Coopers Marquees EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes

Those with form don’t set a high standard, and I feel as though we may have a few nice newcomers in the line-up. KINGSCLERE is a sister to the high-class Kameko and must be included, while LIKE A VISION and COMA CLUSTER are other debutants to note.

Tips: Kingsclere, Like A Vision, Coma Cluster
