28th December 2024 – (Hong Kong) A rare incident unfolded in Kennedy Town on Hong Kong Island on Friday evening when a security guard at The Belcher’s reported the discovery of cash falling from above. At approximately 6pm, the guard noted that banknotes had landed in a flower bed across from Block 6 of the residential complex.
Upon receiving the call, police arrived at the scene and recovered a total of HK$13,020 in cash. However, despite their investigation, authorities remain uncertain as to who discarded the money, and no reports of lost property have been filed.
The case has been classified as a “discovery of property,” with the cash taken to the police station for further examination. The unusual nature of the incident has drawn attention, prompting speculation about the origins of the notes.
