30th December 2024 – (Hong Kong) At around 10am today, a BMW iX3 electric car driver reported feeling unwell and ran a red light before veering onto a pedestrian pavement in Jordan. The vehicle collided with two men and a woman, resulting in one elderly man sustaining critical injuries and lapsing into a coma, sadly succumbing to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital. Footage obtained at the scene captured the sudden and devastating turn of events as the private car careened onto the pedestrian walkway, sending a female pedestrian in a black outfit hurtling through the air towards the entrance of a nearby restaurant. The car then brushed past a man in a blue shirt. The elderly man wearing a face mask was struck from behind, thrown and run over by the vehicle. Fortunately, a bystander managed to swiftly evade the oncoming car, narrowly escaping harm.
The scene was chaotic as the private car ploughed onto the pedestrian walkway, causing the ground to erupt with soil and dust, leaving debris scattered around and injured victims lying helpless. Another segment of the footage depicted the car, suspected of running a red light, colliding with pedestrians on the road before crashing into a metal railing on the pedestrian walkway, directly hitting a woman in a black outfit, propelling her airborne before landing near the restaurant entrance.
