Kenya and Tanzania gave rise to a gifted and talented musician, born in Tanga Tanzania on the 30th of August 1994, and later raised in Makindu Kenya.
Mondy G as his stage name has it, is a rising star who has shown his outstanding ability as far as vocals and performance are concern. Mondy on the other hand though enjoys a huge territorial base in East Africa given his roots in both countries.
At Primary school level Mondy G found his star in music having shown interest in the art, with of course interactions with the art works of renowned artistes. Lack of Support from his parents and relatives however became a huge hindrance to his career. This would later give him a reason to toil more and more to become who he is today.
2016 is the year that Mondy G first stepped into a recording studio with the hope of becoming a superstar as fate had it. He would then meet his hit song “PENZI BASI”, a song he later reunited with Tanzania star Matonya on. And just like that another hit was created.
Mondy G boasts of a unique style of music blending contemporary African rhythm with his fancy melodic style.
His music revolves around themes of Love, resilience and personal growth with an energetic performance that gives him an edge over other new creatives in the industry.
His catalogue has: Nitulize, Bella, Sielewi and Zoba among others and as far as Awards are concern, the streets say he has a lot of them in the pipeline.
Mondy G is set to release a brand new EP which shall be drilling our ears in weeks to come. The anticipation is quite amazing having been tried and tested. All we can wish him is a successful EP Launch and most important of all, follow him on his social media handles.
