4th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) At around 7.37pm on 3rd January, a taxi travelling along Lion Rock Tunnel Road towards Sha Tin lost control near Worldwide Gardens and crashed into a roadside wall. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, landing on its roof.
Before emergency services arrived, both the taxi driver and a female passenger managed to exit the vehicle. The passenger reported a neck injury and was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.
At the scene, debris from the taxi was scattered across the road, and a traffic sign was also damaged. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident. Due to the incident, several lanes on the affected stretch of road were temporarily closed.
