13.15 Coral Play ‘Racing-Super-Series’ For Free Handicap

SPANISH BLAZE is unbeaten in two C&D starts and, despite being hit with a 4lb higher mark for the latest of those wins, he should make a bold bid. STORM STAR’s debut success has worked out well, having had four subsequent winners in behind, so he’s feared most on his turf and handicap debut. The consistent PITNEY and grade-dropping VALIDATED are others to consider.

Tips: Spanish Blaze, Storm Star, Pitney, Validated

13.50 Coral Charge (Group 3)

TWILIGHT CALLS has performed very well at the highest level on several occasions, including last time out in the King Charles III when sixth, having finished fourth and second in the previous two renewals of that race. He should get a good pace to aim at and must have an excellent chance with a clear passage, while the hat trick-seeking DESPERATE HERO and last season’s Nunthorpe winner LIVE IN THE DREAM also merit consideration.

Tips: Twilight Calls, Desperate Hero, Live In The Dream

14.25 Coral Challenge (Handicap)

HOLLOWAY BOY was making his handicap debut when he finished an eye-catching fifth in the Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot. With a clear run, Karl Burke’s may have succeeded and I’m confident he can go close to making amends. The top-weight CICERO’S GIFT is unlikely to lack fitness, and his only defeat in four starts was in Group 1 company last time out. He’s a must for the shortlist.

Tips: Holloway Boy, Cicero’s Gift

15.00 Coral Distaff (Fillies’ Listed)

REGAL JUBILEE has won and finished second in two starts at this level and had 1000 Guineas winner Elmalka in behind when second in a Group 3 race at Newbury on her return. She’s fancied to get the better of SOPRANO, who was a good winner of the Sandringham at Royal Ascot and is nominated as the backup option.

Tips: Regal Jubilee, Soprano

15.35 Coral-Eclipse (Group 1)

CITY OF TROY reinstated his reputation with a dominant victory in the Epsom Derby and should be hard to beat. He had subsequent Irish Derby first (Los Angeles) and third (Ambiente Friendly) in behind and is difficult to oppose. GHOSTWRITER has finished in the frame in both Group 1 outings this campaign, and a new personal best could be on the cards with conditions, track, and trip expected to suit.

Tips: City Of Troy, Ghostwriter

16.12 Coral Racing Club Handicap

SUN GOD had three next-time-out winners in behind when scoring at Lingfield and was only beaten a half-length by Black Run last time out. The winner subsequently finished third in the Golden Gate at the Royal meeting off a mark of 98, so he’s well-handicapped off 82. ASHARIBA made it two wins from four starts at Leicester six weeks ago and should remain competitive off a 4lb higher mark.

Tips: Sun God, Ashariba
