ENFJAAR made it two wins from two starts this year with a victory in the John Smith’s Cup and should go well despite being hit with an 11lb higher mark. REAL GAIN is another to note.
TAKE HEART (eighth) and TONY MONTANA (third) shaped well behind the former last time out and should be thereabouts, while DUAL IDENTITY and KING’S CODE are others who could get involved at bigger odds.

AN OUTLAW’S GRACE impressed when winning his debut prior to an excellent fourth in a Group 2 race in France and could be a big player with more to offer. WOLF OF BADENOCH and TIGER MASK are other last-time-out winners and shouldn’t be taken lightly in an open renewal.

15.00 HKJC World Pool Lennox Stakes (Group 2)
KINROSS has won this race twice and has a good record over this trip. Ralph Beckett’s charge should be primed to go close, though ART POWER is unexposed over this trip and is a Group 1 winner himself. The seven-year-old has a stronger chance than the odds suggest.

15.35 Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series)
It is difficult to see past KYPRIOS, who regained the Ascot Gold Cup six weeks ago and is now a five-time Group 1 winner. Aidan O’Brien’s brilliant stayer won this two years ago and has already beaten most of these. He is a short-priced favourite, but the ground is in his favour, and he should be hard to beat.

16.10 Coral Racing Club Handicap
EQUILATERAL has placed in three renewals of the King’s Stand at Royal Ascot and is 1lb lower than when he scored in a similar race at York last August. The nine-year-old will love the ground and the likely strong pace, so he’s a definite for the shortlist.
DEMOCRACY DILEMMA is a useful front-runner and went close in a Listed race last time out. He must be respected.

JOUNCY went very close to conceding 5lb to subsequent Super Sprint third Time For Sandals when a head-second last time out, and he should be hard to beat with more to offer. I MAXIMUS made a promising debut third at Newbury and could take a step forward with Ryan Moore in the plate.

17.20 Ridgeview Fillies’ Handicap
CIRCE gained a second career win with a decisive victory at Newbury last time out and should be hard to beat off only a 4lb higher mark. I will also include NOCTURNAL, who has two wins from four starts and is open to improvement after shaping well when 10th in the Sandringham Stakes last time out.
