13.15 British EBF Crocker Bulteel ‘Confined’ Maiden Stakes

BACK IN BLACK shaped well when runner-up on debut at Yarmouth in May and would have finished closer to the winner with a clear passage. With more to come, James Fanshawe’s charge should go well, and it is difficult to see him finishing out of the frame.

Tips: Back In Black

13.50 Sodexo Live! Princess Margaret Stakes (Fillies’ Group 3)

MANDURAH looked like an above-average prospect when scoring impressively on her debut at Newmarket and must be considered a leading player with the potential for better.

Tips: Mandurah

14.25 Longines Valiant Stakes (Fillies’ & Mares’ Group 3)

SIRONA performed very well when finishing fifth in the Falmouth Stakes last time out, and she will relish the drop in grade and return to this distance. Her form figures over 7f read 12132, so she’s a definite for the shortlist under Oisin Murphy and is my best bet on the card.

Tips: Sirona

15.00 Moet & Chandon International Stakes (Heritage Handicap)

BILLYJOH is as consistent as they come and produced a career-best effort when second in the Buckingham Palace over C&D at the Royal meeting last time out. He is a major player off only a 2lb higher mark, with Rossa Ryan booked to ride. I really like his chances, despite the competitive nature of the race.

Tips: Billyjoh

15.40 King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes (Group 1)

AUGUSTE RODIN has everything in his favour, and the Derby, Irish Derby, Irish Champion Stakes, and Breeders’ Cup Turf winner claimed the Prince of Wales’s at the Royal Meeting here last month. He can add another top-level success to Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien.

Tips: Auguste Rodin

16.15 Flexjet Pat Eddery Stakes (Listed)

CHANCELLOR looked like a smart horse in the making when overcoming inexperience to make a sparkling debut at Doncaster, and he should have plenty more to come. He can retain his unbeaten record in this grade before going on to bigger and better things.

Tips: Chancellor
