How to repay Branch Loan via Mpesa, How to apply for a loan,loan limit and customer care contacts

Branch is one of the companies that offer mobile loans in Kenya. During repayment period, you use Mpesa to repay. Branch Paybill Number is 998608.

To make a repayment via the Paybill Number, follow these steps:
1. Go to Mpesa
2. Select Lipa na MPESA
3. Select Paybill
4. Enter Business Number which is the Branch Paybill number 998608
5. For account number, enter your MPesa number on which you received your Branch loan
6. Enter your repayment amount(e.g Ksh 1,000)
7. Enter your M-PESA pin and send

You will receive a message that the money has been received.

The Branch loan amount ranges between Ksh 500 and Ksh 300,000. To get Ksh 300,000 loan, you have to take as many loans as possible and repay in time. If you repay consistently for at least 2 years, you will finally qualify to get Ksh 300,000 loan.

Branch processes loan within 3 hours but if you apply for at least Ksh 100,000 they will process the loan within 24 hours.

Branch interest rate range between 17% to 35%.If you take a loan of Ksh 300,000 you your interest will range between 15% to 20%.If you take a loan of Ksh 500 to Ksh 1000 the interest will be as high as 35%.

To get a loan, you have to download Branch App on your smartphone. Below are 3 important things you should have:

  1. A smartphone
  2. National ID
  3. Facebook Account
  4. Mobile Money Account (Mpesa or Airtel Money)

When applying for the loan, you will have to give the company access to the data in your phone to determine whether you are eligible for the loan.

Branch will confirm whether your details are listed with CRB.They will only award a loan if you are not listed on CRB.

If you fail to pay Branch loan in time, you will pay a penalty of 6% of the outstanding loan amount. Assuming the remaining loan amount is Ksh 100,000, the penalty will be Ksh 6,000. You will also pay interest of 17& to 35%.

Branch limit is Ksh 500 to Ksh 300,000. To increase your limit, first make sure that your name is not on CRB list of defaulters. You should also repay your loans in time to avoid penalties. You should also apply for a loan immediately you finish repaying the previous one and the loan must be the maximum limit provided. This means that you have to take a loan from Branch consistently.

Your Mpesa should also be transacting huge amounts of money. Branch will see that you are capable of repaying the huge loan.
