Nimrod Taabu ( Born Nimrod Taabu Mwagamoyo) is a Kenyan news anchor working for Citizen TV. Before joining Citizen TV, he was working as a reporter at Kenya Television Network (KTN) and later joined Nation Media Group (Nation Centre, NTV) as a senior anchor.
Nimrod Taabu Early Life
Nimrod Taabu had a very hard time choosing what he wanted to be, he thought that was the biggest mistake on his part for not knowing what he wanted to do in life. His first choice was the hotel industry of which he applied for admission at Utalii College three times but all went unsuccessful.
Back then to get to Utalii was not easy, so Nimrod went back to the farm and spent more than a year there farming with his father. He also tried to be a footballer but that didn’t go well until is when a relative of his came up one day and told him to apply for admission to Mass Communication school. He followed his relative’s advice and the result can be seen today.
Nimrod Taabu Career
Nimrod Taabu started working for The Standard newspaper as an assistant reporter since 2000. Later he became news anchor and reporter for the Kenya Television Network (KTN) in the same year where he worked for the next four years.
During this time, he came up with a weekly Swahili News Round-up Programme for the Mombassa audience that eventually led to the establishment of a successful Swahili News Bulletin.
He joined the Nation Media Group (Nation Centre, NTV) as a senior anchor and reporter in the Editorial department where he dwelled for some time and later joined Citizen TV. Apart from being an eloquent reporter, he is also a married man and a responsible father for two lovely boys.

He comes from a family of six, that is two parents and four siblings. His twin sister is a nurse at Kenyatta National Hospital and the younger sister lives abroad with her family while his elder brother is a chef. Nimrod is three or five minutes older than his twin sister.
