14.25 Green Scheme Discounts For Greener Travel Apprentice Handicap

BEARWITH has a good record here and is 1lb lower than when last successful, so he’s very much one to consider. Course specialist EY UP ITS BOSS has a fair chance of being involved, having finished a good third at Beverley last time out, while the well-treated WOODSTOCK CITY and largely consistent MR JETMAN are others to consider.

Tips: Bearwith, Ey Up It’s The Boss, Woodstock City, Mr Jetman

14.55 British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes

ZAYER has only found one too good in each of his two starts and he had subsequent Haydock scorer Angel Hunter back in third in the latest of those efforts. He has every chance of opening his account, but interesting debutant ANOTHER ABBOT and Windsor runner-up RESERVARDO must be respected and make the shortlist.

Tips: Zayer, Another Abbot, Reservardo

15.25 21 Engineer Regiment Sapper Nursery

FORO ROMANO disappointed at Chelmsford last time out but would have a decent chance based on his two previous placed efforts. Karl Burke’s INVINCIBLE ANNICE was unlucky not to finish closer at Musselburgh and should go well, while INVINCIBLE SONG would only need to repeat her penultimate second at Goodwood to have a say in the matter.

Tips: Foro Romano, Invincible Annice, Invincible Song

16.00 Ripon Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse Handicap

WRECK IT RYLEY hardly runs a bad race and having placed in six of his last seven starts, he should again be competitive. Former C&D winner THORNABY PEARL finished third in the Silver Trophy here last time out and should be thereabouts, while other in-form pair TWELFTH KNIGHT and ACT OF VIOLENCE have the form in the book to play a leading role.

Tips: Wreck It Ryley, Thornaby Pearl, Twelfth Knight, Act Of Violence

16.25 Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate Handicap

MAKALU has won four times this year and has made the frame in his last couple of starts. He has leading prospects, while MOUNT KING is 3lb below his last winning mark and should be on the premises. Despite this being competitive, I’m hopeful one of the two selections will go close.

Tips: Makalu, Mount King

17.00 National Racehorse Week 7th-15th September Handicap

Top-weight TAILORMAN has yet to get his head in front but has finished runner-up four times so far in his career and a reproduction of his latest second to Godsend should see him open his account. That looks the best piece of form on offer. GREENLIGHTFORGO caught the eye when third at Pontefract last time out and should go well.

Tips: Tailorman, Greenlightforgo
