14.30 Norfolk Stakes

WHISTLEJACKET was an expensive yearling and confirmed the promise of his debut second when easily going one better next time out. He should take plenty of beating in the opener, while AESTERIUS, who impressed on debut at Bath, cannot be ruled out with plenty more to offer.

Tips: Whistlejacket, Aesterius

15.05 King George V Stakes

PONIROS travelled extremely well en route to finishing second in the London Gold Cup last time out and should appreciate this step up in distance from only a 4Ib higher mark. GASPER DE LEMOS has decent enough form in the book to suggest he could go well at a big price.

Tips: Poniros, Gasper De Lemos

15.45 Ribblesdale Stakes

DIAMOND RAIN is a perfect two-from-two in her career and was very good when winning a listed race last time out, beating a subsequent winner with plenty to spare. She was a course winner on debut and is bred to be even more effective over this longer trip, so she is the one to beat.

Tips: Diamond Rain

16.25 Gold Cup

VAUBAN will be fitter from his comeback second in the Yorkshire Cup and could hardly have been more impressive when slamming a good field in a handicap at this meeting last year. KYPRIOS is a former winner of this race and is unbeaten in two starts this campaign. He must be on the shortlist.

Tips: Vauban, Kyprios

17.05 Britannia Stakes

KING’S GAMBLE has a lot of weight to carry, but his third in a Group 2 race last year is pretty strong form, and he’s entitled to strip fitter from his seasonal debut second earlier this month. I also like the look of STARLORE, who looked unlucky at Goodwood last month and has a great chance of making amends off the same mark.

Tips: King’s Gamble, Starlore

17.40 Hampton Court Stakes

BRACKEN’S LAUGH looked a shade unlucky to not make it three wins from four starts when narrowly denied at Chester, and, with this larger field sure to see him to better effect, he should be competitive. SONS AND LOVERS finished a good third in the Craven Stakes in his penultimate start and has the form to go well.

Tips: Bracken’s Laugh, Sons And Lovers
