17.05 Farmers Arms Darts Team Maiden Hurdle

POLLING DAY took a tumble when things were beginning to take shape on last month’s Fakenham hurdling debut, but based on his fairly useful Flat form, he might be worth another chance in this winnable race. CALSHOT SPIT finished second on his most recent outing on the level and is an interesting hurdle debutant.

Tips: Polling Day, Calshot Spit

17.40 Farmers Arms Darts Team Maiden Hurdle

A DAY TO DREAM only achieved a most level of form on the Flat, but Ollie Pears’ charge made an odds-on favourite pull out all the stops when a nose-second in a maiden event at Fakenham last time out and could go one better. REACH FOR THE MOON, who was rated as high as 114 on the Flat, can also go on the shortlist.

Tips: A Day To Dream, Reach For The Moon

18.10 Hook Norton Equine Vets Handicap Hurdle

If it wasn’t for a mistake at the last hurdle, Newton Abbot runner-up ELLERTON probably would have won that race, and off only a 1lb higher mark, should prove hard to beat. NED CASH has been left on the same mark as when third here last time out and cannot be ruled out, while GAVIN can operate off a 9lb lower mark than when last successful.

Tips: Ellerton, Ned Cash, Gavin

18.40 Hook Norton Equine Vets Handicap Hurdle

GOOD IMPRESSION hasn’t been at his best the last twice, but defied a 3Ib higher mark when beating a 110-rated horse in September last year at Newton Abbot and is interestingly partnered by Harry Cobden. He must be respected, as should dual course winner ADMIRAL’S SUNSET, who is handily weighted now returned to this sphere.

Tips: Good Impression, Admiral’s Sunset

19.10 Davisons Law Anniversary Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase

MATTERHORN had the reopposing Parc d’Amour well held in third when making it two from two over fences at Worcester last time out, and this course should play further to his strengths if ridden in the same positive manner. Paul Nicholls’ also boasts a fabulous 30% strike-rate here in the last five seasons, and there’s plenty to like about the chances of his only runner on the card.

Tips: Matterhorn

19.40 Saige Composite Products Handicap Hurdle

LUTINEBELLA was down the field on her return at Worcester, but she’s clearly better than that based on last season’s form in this sphere, as well as her bumper form. She is worth another chance. HICONIC and JARAMILLO are both lurking on dangerous marks and can also be included.

Tips: Lutinebella, Hiconic, Jaramillo
