Lamu was ranked seventh among the top 10 richest counties in Kenya.
The others include Nairobi, Mombasa, Kiambu, Nyandarua, Elgeyo Marakwet, Machakos, Nakuru, Kisumu and Nyeri in that order.
The counties were ranked based on data provided by Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) https://www.knbs.or.ke/ dubbed “Gross County Product (GCP)” which is basically the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of counties.
