13.50 Sky Bet Strensall Stakes (Group 3)
SEE THE FIRE has shaped well in all three Group 1 starts this year and came close to winning the Nassau Stakes last time out. She has an excellent chance of going one better at this lower level on these terms. ENFJAAR is feared most, ahead of TASK FORCE.

TOO BOSSY FOR US has made the frame in two good handicaps the last twice, and this race looks tailor-made for him, so he’s of interest off his lenient mark, with Jim Crowley booked to ride. Last time out winners REACHING HIGH and TACTICIAN should go well, while THE EQUATOR is hard to ignore for team Ballydoyle.

15.00 Sky Bet City Of York Stakes (Group 2)
AUDIENCE was marginally denied in this race last year and is unpenalised for his Lennox Stakes win last time out. He’s the one to beat, but SHOULDVEBEENARING has twice gone close in Group 1 company and did well to take a Group 3 race in France last time out. He has a good record here and makes plenty of appeal.

15.35 Sky Bet Ebor Handicap (Heritage Handicap)
NAQEEB turned in a great effort at Newbury last time out when stepped up to two miles, finishing a neck-second, having conceded chunks of weight to the winner. With the headgear back on and more to come, he’s a serious candidate. I also like BURDETT ROAD, who won at Royal Ascot last year and has been targeted at this race for a while. The consistent QUEENSTOWN is another to consider.

16.10 Sky Bet Constantine Handicap (Heritage Handicap)
APOLLO ONE is a reliable sprinter and produced another big effort to finish second in the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood for the second year in succession. He’s a serious contender off just a 1lb higher mark. STRIKE RED would appreciate any arrival of rain and should be thereabouts, while TWO TRIBES could also go well off a mark that’s within range.

16.45 Julia Graves Roses Stakes (Listed)
MR LIGHTSIDE beat a subsequent winner at Nottingham with plenty to spare and would have finished second in the Molecomb Stakes last time out without being impeded towards the finish. He still ran well to finish third, though, and can get back on the scoresheet here. Irish raider MAGNUM FORCE won comfortably last time out and shouldn’t be discounted.
