25th December 2024 – (Beijing) The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council announced on Wednesday its commitment to assist Taiwanese businesspeople and enterprises in expanding their markets within mainland China. Spokesperson Chen Binhua addressed a media inquiry regarding the mainland’s supportive measures for Taiwanese enterprises, emphasising a collaborative effort to enhance innovation and integrate industrial and supply chains across the Taiwan Strait.
Chen highlighted that the mainland will actively encourage Taiwanese businesses to participate in emerging sectors such as industrial internet, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. He affirmed that the government would support these enterprises in advancing new, high-quality production capabilities.
Additionally, Chen noted that the Supreme People’s Court had recently published several landmark cases aimed at protecting the legal interests of Taiwanese compatriots operating on the mainland. This move is designed to bolster confidence among Taiwanese investors and entrepreneurs looking to establish or expand their businesses.
The spokesperson further reiterated the mainland’s dedication to improving connectivity between Fujian Province and Taiwan, revealing plans for enhanced infrastructure construction to create efficient logistics channels linking the two regions.
