2nd January 2025 – (Shanghai) Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has recently halted her work due to health concerns, leading to speculation that she had been mistreated by her former boss. In a social media post on 1st January, Zhao hinted at her difficulties, sparking widespread discussion.
In response, Li Wei, the founder of Galaxy Cool Entertainment Culture Media Co., Ltd., issued a statement clarifying that he is no longer associated with the agency. He expressed his long-standing admiration for Zhao, whom he has known for eight years and signed to the company in 2016.
Li reflected on Zhao’s journey, praising her resilience and dedication. He mentioned that her successes fill him with pride, and signing her was one of the best decisions of his career in the entertainment industry.
Addressing the rumors of abuse, Li firmly denied any involvement, stating, “I could never have harmed her in a restroom; it was not me!” He emphasized his respect for Zhao and expressed concern for her well-being, urging fans to allow her the space to recover.
Despite stepping back from the company in early 2023, Li remains supportive of Zhao, often checking in on her progress. He acknowledged the misunderstandings that have led to backlash against him from her fans and expressed understanding of their concerns.
