23rd December 2024 – (Zhuha) Gongbei Customs announced today, 22nd December, that a cross-border vehicle attempting to smuggle live crabs into mainland China was intercepted on 2nd December while travelling across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Authorities discovered two boxes containing a total of 871 live crabs during the inspection. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and legal action will be pursued against those involved in the smuggling attempt.
