26th December 2024 – (Hong Kong) Following the closure of MCL CINEMAS Plus+ at MCL Hollywood Plaza earlier this month, speculations arise about the potential closure of Golden Harvest V Walk, a cinema under the Golden Harvest Cinemas brand.
Today, a limited number of residents were still seen purchasing movie tickets at Golden Harvest V Walk, hinting at continued interest in the cinema. However, signs of a potential closure loom as the official website and mobile application ceased ticket sales for the 27th of December. Searches for Golden Harvest V Walk under the Golden Harvest Cinemas banner yielded no results, adding weight to the uncertainty surrounding its future.
While operating normally today (26th), indications of a possible closure persist. Employees of Golden Harvest have not received official communication regarding closure plans. Although no definitive confirmation has been provided regarding the cessation of operations, employees express a sense of impending closure. Responses from the cinema regarding this matter are currently pending.
