25th December 2024 – (Hong Kong) The Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital at Sandy Bay (DKCH) and Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH) have come together to spread festive joy among their paediatric patients by organising a series of heartwarming Christmas activities.

At DKCH, healthcare workers embraced the holiday spirit by dressing as Santa Claus and parading through the hospital in cartoon-themed vehicles. The celebrations included a garden party featuring magic shows, drum performances, and bicycle stunts, along with group games and Christmas carol singing. In a touching gesture, staff distributed gifts and prepared a festive meal, creating a memorable Christmas day for the children.

Meanwhile, HKCH also curated a variety of festive events aimed at uplifting patients and their families. The highlight was a vibrant Christmas party in the hospital lobby, where the Police Dog Unit of the Hong Kong Police Force entertained attendees with interactive shows and games on Christmas Eve. On Christmas day, healthcare staff made special visits to the wards, delighting hospitalised children with carols and gifts, ensuring that the joy of the season was shared throughout the hospital.
