The club, seeking their 15th consecutive appearance in Europe’s premier club competition, has endured a dismal run with just one victory in their last eight Premier League fixtures, currently sitting seventh and 12 points adrift of table-toppers Liverpool.
Guardiola’s squad trails Nottingham Forest by four points, the team holding the crucial fourth spot for Champions League qualification.
