25th December 2024 – (Hong Kong) After a six-year hiatus, renowned Hong Kong singer Andy Lau made a triumphant return to the Hong Kong Coliseum, launching a series of 20 highly anticipated New Year concerts that drew large crowds of devoted fans. Among the attendees was actress Margie Tsang, who expressed her excitement on social media, posting three enthusiastic updates about the opening night.
Delighted by Lau’s performance, Tsang praised the stage design, lighting, and overall production, exclaiming on Weibo, “Watching Andy Lau’s concert last night was exhilarating! Brother Lau was simply amazing—everything was fantastic! Of course, the best part was our beloved Andy Lau, ever the people’s star! His energy was incredible! There’s a reason so many people love him. Andy Lau, I love you!”
The concerts, held in December 2024, quickly sold out, reflecting Lau’s enduring popularity. Despite not having a photo with Lau, Tsang was seen embracing a life-sized cardboard cutout of the star and blowing kisses, showcasing her excitement.
In a surprising twist, Tsang also reunited with her former co-star, Ray Lui, during the concert. She shared her joy on Weibo, reminiscing, “Seeing Brother Lui was such a surprise! I can’t even remember the last time we met—probably over ten years ago! Ray Lui and I worked together on ‘Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain’ in 1985.”
The reunion of Tsang and Lui, both of whom starred in the beloved series nearly four decades ago, delighted fans. Many commented on their impressive appearances, with 68-year-old Lui maintaining a stylish presence and 59-year-old Tsang showcasing youthful, radiant skin. Their unexpected appearance together was a highlight for many concert-goers.
