22nd December 2024 – (Moscow) During an interview published on Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed that Russia has not abandoned its desire to enhance relations with the United States. “Everything can be done if there is a desire. We have never lost this desire,” he told Pavel Zarubin, a journalist from Russia’s state TV and radio company VGTRK, while discussing the potential for improved bilateral ties.
Putin indicated that Russia remains open to fostering relationships with other nations, provided these engagements do not undermine Russian interests. “If we establish relations with someone, we will do so only based on the interests of the Russian state,” he asserted, suggesting a pragmatic approach to foreign diplomacy.
