29th December 2024 – (Seoul) In the aftermath of the devastating Jeju Air crash this morning, one of the two survivors, a 33-year-old air steward known as Mr Lee, has reportedly experienced major memory loss. Upon his arrival at the hospital, he questioned medical staff, asking, “Why am I here?” indicating a possible state of confusion.

Mr Lee, who was responsible for serving passengers in the rear of the aircraft, sustained a fractured left shoulder and head injuries. Despite being conscious, he recalled fastening his seatbelt before the aircraft’s descent but believed the plane had already landed, leaving him with no memory of the subsequent events.

Medical personnel suggested that his condition might stem from a panic-like reaction or could be related to the traumatic experience he endured during the crash. The incident involved a Boeing 737-800, which resulted in the loss of 179 lives, with the aircraft crashing at Muan Airport after failing to deploy its landing gear.

Another survivor, a female flight attendant in her twenties, is currently receiving treatment at Jungang Hospital.
