31st December 2024 – (Hong Kong) At 3.54pm today, a Tesla collided with a truck while traveling along Tuen Mun Road towards Kowloon, near the San Hui Substation. The driver of the Tesla reported experiencing pain in the neck and back and received on-site medical attention.
Images from the scene show the Tesla’s front end facing the opposite direction following the crash, which led to significant traffic congestion. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
Due to the incident, several lanes on Tuen Mun Road towards Kowloon, near the San Hui playground, were temporarily closed but reopened around 5pm. Traffic is still heavy as vehicles are limited to the remaining lanes.
Commuters are advised that bus services, including KMB and Long Win, operating along Tuen Mun Road towards Kowloon may be affected. Alternative public transport options, such as the MTR, are recommended as traffic remains congested.
