30th December 2024 – (Kyiv) Ukraine remains resolute in its commitment to continue fighting, even if the incoming U.S. administration decides to suspend military aid, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine. Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office, stated, “We will continue to fight, engage with the new administration, and focus on developing domestic production.”
Yermak acknowledged the potential risk of reduced U.S. support but indicated that Ukraine would seek to strengthen its relationships with European partners in such an event. He emphasised that the performance of Ukrainian forces on the frontline will play a crucial role in shaping the stance of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s administration regarding future aid.
Since the onset of the full-scale conflict with Russia, the United States has delivered approximately $61.4 billion in military assistance to Ukraine, according to the U.S. Department of State as of mid-December.
