31st December 2024 – (Beijing) On Tuesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping underscored the importance of maintaining strategic resolve and unity as the nation strives to build a robust future. Speaking at a New Year gathering hosted by China’s top political advisory body, Xi, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission, articulated the challenges that lie ahead.
“During the course of Chinese modernisation, we will encounter not only calm and favourable conditions but also face fierce winds, turbulent waters, and potentially perilous storms,” warned Xi. He urged all Chinese citizens to unite their efforts and harness their collective strength to navigate these challenges with courage and determination.
